We are all busy. We live in a fast paced world. I'm guilty of letting my work consume me: skipping meals, missing coffee dates and family events. It's something I'm working on. I'm lucky I love what I do and do what I love, but it does make it hard for me to choose other things above my "work". I'm trying to find a balance.
Today I succeeded in finding some time to stop and smell the roses (or eat the crepes!). I truly believe that handmade pots have the power to slow you down and make you enjoy the moment.
This plate is pretty small, only 5" in diameter. My dinner plates are usually twice that! This smaller plate forced me to only eat two of these scrumptious crepes. The carvings create slight dips and picked that collected honey. I was able to dip into those areas as I ate. I also held the plate in my hand, rather that setting it on the table. This was probably due to the size of the plate. But it made the meal that much more intimate. I truly tasted each bit.
The mug has a new style handle. It is so comfortable and user friendly. I enjoyed drinking my aero press coffee out of it. The slip trailing was fun to caress with each sip. The lip on this mug is absolutely delightful! It's comfortable and stops any "dribbling"!
The real and blue colors were very calming. Today is the first warm day of the year and the blue in these pots matches the blue sky.
It took extra time today to make the crepes, but it was worth it. I started my day late, but I suspect it'll be a great day!
So, slow down and ....eat the crepes!
