Consultation
I've been growing my business for the past 7 years. In the Spring of 2012 I quit my "day job" and decided to jump into my business full time. I've been successfully self employed since then. I have been completely self supported with my art, not holding any other part time job since 2012. This is something I'm really proud of and can hardly believe myself. It took me lots of time, planning, researching, organization, discipline, and more to be able to do this.
I meet lots of other artists and makers every weekend at the events that I do. Some are just starting out, some have been at it a while. I get asked a lot, "How do you do it?". People want to quit their jobs and jump into business for themselves. They see that I've done just that and they want to know how. I get asked to coffee, lunch, dinner, etc. People want advice and guidance. In the summertime, I am almost too busy to eat or sleep myself, let alone meet up for coffee.
During the winter, my schedule slows down a bit. I am still making items and filling orders, but I do have more time and flexibility without all the events. I've decided to start offering some consultation to those of you who want to grow your business. Maybe you are just starting out and have a million questions or maybe you've already been selling and you just want help in a certain area.
I'm not claiming to be an expert. I'm not saying I'll have every answer. However, I have learned so much and do feel that I can offer a lot of help and guidance to a lot of people. The help I can offer would include, but not be limited to:
Etsy questions
Product Photography
Business Plans
Accounting
Show Applications
Booth Set up
Artist Statements
Product Development
Business Image and Branding
Wholesale questions
Getting into stores and Galleries
Creating and Maintaining a website
Social Media Help
I've decided to start out at a $45 an hour rate with my consulting. We can meet somewhere public and convenient for both of us: Starbucks, Fortezza Coffee, etc and start to work. Bring a notebook, questions, computer, tablet, or whatever you want and schedule one hour or more at a time. I will require a $20 deposit when you book your appointment. This just helps to ensure that I don't get "stood up" so to speak.
If you don't have time to meet up or maybe the help you need won't require a meeting, I can also help via email. For example, if you need me to look at your etsy store or website, I can critique those with notes I can send you in an email!
To schedule a consultation, please fill out the form below and I will email you with an invoice to get the ball rollin'!
